FOMC Meeting Format
Most FOMC meetings follow this schedule:
Day 1 (Tuesday)
Committee members review economic data, discuss current conditions, and prepare policy options. No public announcements are made.
Day 2 (Wednesday)
The committee votes on monetary policy. At 2:00 PM ET, the Fed releases its policy statement, interest rate decision, and economic projections. Fed Chair holds a press conference at 2:30 PM ET (for some meetings).
